The Pakistan government has decided to increase the prices of petroleum products.


ISLAMABAD (Pak News) The government has decided to increase the prices of petroleum products.

Sources said that OGRA has recommended an increase in petrol price by Rs 25.58 paise. It is proposed to increase the price of high speed diesel by Rs 21.31 paise.

The sources further said that it has been recommended to increase the price of kerosene by Rs 23.50 paise and light diesel by Rs 17.84 paise.

It should be noted that at present the prices of petroleum products in Pakistan are at the lowest level in South Asia. In neighboring India, petrol costs more than Rs 80, which is Rs 178 in Pakistani currency. Sources said that the increase in prices of petroleum products is likely to be implemented today (Friday) at 12 noon instead of July 1.

If OGRA's recommendations are approved, the new price of petrol in Pakistan will be Rs 100.10 paise ,The new price of diesel will be Rs 101.46 paise, the new price of kerosene will be Rs 59 and the new price of light diesel oil will be Rs 55.98 paise .
