Lahore (Pak News) The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has drawn up a plan to include Peshawar as the fifth spot for the sixth season of the Pakistan Super League (PSL).

According to the details, the PCB has given good news to the fans of Peshawar Zalmi before PSL 6 and there is a strong possibility that Peshawar will be included as the fifth venue for the next edition. Sources said that the PCB Board of Governors held its second meeting for the 58th year in a row through video conference chaired by Ehsan Mani.

The meeting congratulated on the successful stages of PSL 2020, 30 matches of PSL 5 were played at four venues and more than 500,000 spectators turned up. The Board of Governors was informed that the PCB is planning to hold the remaining four matches at the end of the year and plans to add Peshawar as the fifth position for the 2021 edition which is to be held in February and March 2021.

The meeting of the Board of Governors also approved the establishment of a PSL department separate from the Commercial Department of the PCB. Shoaib Naveed, Executive, PSL Project, will head the sector under the PCB's campaign to improve stakeholder relations and provide high quality events.

According to sources, there will also be a monitoring group comprising Chief Executive, Chief Operating Officer, Chief Financial Officer and Director Commercial. On the other hand, a meeting of the PSL General Council is also scheduled in the first week of July in which further action plan regarding the event will be decided.
