The government is launching a skilled youth program to end poverty and unemployment, says Rashid Hafeez

Lahore (Pak News) Provincial Minister for Literacy and Non-Formal Basic Education Raja Rashid Hafeez has said that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government is committed to alleviating poverty and unemployment for the welfare of the people. Taking a step further, Punjab is launching a Skilled Youth Program with a new dimension.

Rs 490 crore will be spent on this while a budget of Rs 150 crore has been allocated for providing online learning facilities to the youth. Despite the difficult economic situation caused by the Corona virus, the government is moving towards the state of Madinah by taking steps to provide employment to the public, especially the youth, by providing a tax-free and tax-relief budget. But one of the purposes of the fuss of the opposition parties in the grief of deprivation of power and the fear of strict accountability is that the people may not be aware of these charitable works of the government.

He said this while talking to various delegations of dignitaries and party workers who came to his residence for meetings. Raja Rashid Hafeez said that PML-N and PPP have been in power several times but they could not give a single example in which they have given tax exemptions to the people within the budget. The Punjab government not only did not impose new taxes but also gave huge relief to the people by abolishing the taxes of Rs 56 billion.

He said that Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Bazdar, following the instructions of Prime Minister Imran Khan, with the consultation and consent of his cabinet, had decided to increase government revenues to control the worst effects on the government and the people due to Corona. Instead, it has reduced and allocated Rs 106 billion to provide relief to the people, especially traders and other business classes.

He said that apart from the arrangements made by the local district and tehsil authorities across Punjab, the Punjab government would spend Rs. 50 billion to deal with the Corona crisis. These are steps that the former rulers, who have a lavish temperament and receive commissions, cannot even imagine, but our government, contrary to the traditions established by the rulers of the past, instead of exerting the effects of every economic crisis on the people. Great relief.

Raja Rashid Hafeez asked the leaders and workers of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) in the delegations to publicize these unprecedented and people-friendly measures of the government and tell the people that the government has rejected the demands of the most difficult situation in Corona. Is taking practical steps for welfare. He further said that the general public, especially women, should be made more aware of the Corona virus and they should be made aware of the ways to stay safe from this deadly virus so that they can follow the SOPs issued by the government. And prevent the dangerous spread of the virus.

Meanwhile, the provincial minister while presiding over a meeting of the literacy department directed the officers of the department to ensure timely completion of the projects started last year and no compromise should be made on their quality. On the occasion, Secretary Literacy Sameera Samad and other officials apprised the provincial minister about the overall performance of the department and progress on new projects, to which Raja Rashid Hafeez expressed satisfaction. Not to do but to achieve maximum results from every penny spent to achieve the desired goal of literacy rate for which we will all work diligently and sincerely to get results. The objectives of the department during the new financial year were also discussed on the occasion.
